Duston Garage Reserve Division 2 Cup Final- 16/04/15 The Reserve Division two cup final saw the top two teams, Bugbrooke ‘B’ and Drayton Grange reserves come together at Old Northamptonians  ground.  Drayton Grange had the best start with several chances and hit the post with a long range effort. Bugbrooke looked shakey and a mix up in defence lead to the first goal after 20 minutes. The conceded goal had the desired effect on Bugbrooke and they started to create chances as the first half wore on. The “halftime tea cup” effect worked  for Bugbrooke and within 3 minutes they were level with a fine headed goal. Both teams created chances and Drayton Grange once again took the lead. Bugbrooke’s young players would not give up and deservedly equalised to take the game to extra time. Both teams had chances to win the game but it took a great goal from captain Dan Hutchinson to win the game for Drayton Grange and earn him man of the match. Bugbrooke’B’ 2-3 Daventry Drayton Grange (AET). The game was a great advert for the young players in the lower divisions of the  Northants Combination  and all the spectators went home knowing that these players will gain confidence from a cup final and  press their senior teams for a place.
